It is time for a new Crash Your Stash challenge over at Outlawz. These challenges are such fun as the theme is Anything Goes as long as you use the item from your stash that is the current month's cue and that you need to find in that back drawer. This month the cue is Photo Corners.

Well my stash is not old enough to contain photo corners. Most of my crafting has happened in the digital age, so I thought why not combine the old with the new. So, as mostly, I created a cardpanel by creating a rectangle in Silhouette Studio sized at 4x5.5 inches. I filled it with a background paper from the Party Celebration digital paper stack by We Are 3 Digital Shop. I adjusted the hue of the paper so that the blue paper turned pink. I then created an element on my card with a .png digital element from the Tropical Snap Shot collection by We Are 3 Digital Shop. In the clear space that is left for an image, I inserted the sweet precolored image from Imagine That Digistamps called Mailbox Kitties. I created a cutline around the elements and filled the box with a color from the background paper that I chose with the eyedropper tool.

I then moved the square card element, with all the parts of it grouped together, to a separate part of the page so that it would print and cut separately from the main panel. I then printed the page and returned it to the Silhouette to cut the two parts out. Then I made two photo corners out of a 1 inch square of cardstock each using the YouTube tutorial by Wendy. I then added them to opposite corners of my focal element and then popped the whole element up with foam tape.

I completed the card by adhering the panel onto a cardbase and then the focal element onto the panel. I decided the kitties in the mailbox made a perfect Thank you card and so cut the word thanks out twice, once in pink and once in green cardstock and offset them slightly on my card so that the green word has a pink shadow.

If you can find photo corners or feel like playing with making some yourself, we would love to see the result over at the Crash Your Stash challenge on Outlawz.

Warm Wishes

Today I am sharing a project made with a digi by a new-to-me artist - Lia Stampz. I got to work with this digi called Cozy Christmas for my DT project at the middle of the month sponsor at the Rabisco Challenge.

I opened the digi in my Silhouette Studio and created a cutline around her. I then sized her on a 4x5.25 rectangle in the position I wanted her to be. I printed her out onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper and colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Once she was colored, I returned her to the Silhouette and cut her out. I cut an additional blank shape out of white cardstock and glued the colored image onto the cardstock for stability.

I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4x5.25 inches and embossed it with a Darice Snowflake embossing folder. I wrapped some 1/8 inch ribbon around the embossed panel before adhering the panel to a dark blue cardbase. I then popped the image up on foam tape and added her to the card over the ribbon. I completed the card by stamping the sentiment from my stash in Versafine Onyx Black ink and cutting it out with an oval die. I ran a blue crayola marker around the edge of the sentiment cutout and glued it to the card.

I invite you to play along with us at Rabisco. The theme is Anything Goes as long as your project has a piece of haberdashery on it.

Waiting on the Prince

Today I have another DT project to share with you as the new challenge over at World Wide Open Design Team Challenge Blog as started. If you are a member of any Design Team in the world, you are invited to enter your project. The theme is always Anything Goes and Julia Spiri is the resident sponsor. I love her images.

Today I combined two of Julia's art pieces - the digi called Waiting on the Prince and a digital paper from her VIP club. You can find a similar one in the Old Rustic Digital Paper collection. I created two squares in Silhouette Studio, one sized at 5.5x5.5x inches and one sized at 5x5 inches. I filled the smaller one with the digital paper and added the princess over the top - positioning her on the right side of the beautiful flower on the digital paper. I added the digital sentiment which comes from the Magical Sparkle sentiment set by We Are 3. I then used the eyedropper tool to choose a color from the flower and filled the bigger square with that color. I then printed the squares and colored the princess on her balcony with my Prismacolor colored pencils and added some details with a silver glitter gel pen.

Once I had colored the pretty lady, I returned the page to the Silhouette and cut out the two squares. I then adhered the top focal panel to the colored cardpanel which I, in turn, adhered to a 5.5x5.5 cardbase. I decided the card was complete as it was and needed no further embellishment.

I invite you to visit our challenge over at the World Wide Open Challenge Blog - where you can see more DT inspiration and enter our challenge to win some of Julia's images yourself.

Flowers and glitter

Today I wish to share my final project as a DT member of the Scrappers Delight team. It is the middle of the month and that means it is time for Special Deals - which means that the older images off the Scrapper Delights website that the DT team chooses to work with are on sale. Be sure to check them out on the DT Specials page.

I chose to work the beautiful flower background from the Flowers Plants Bundle 1. I created a 5x5 inch square in my Silhouette Studio and filled the whole square out with the flowery background image. I added one of the ladies from the Victorian Lady Bundle into the center of one of the flowers and then added a sentiment from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I printed the image out onto Strathmore Paint Pad paper and then colored the flowers with my Arteza real brush markers. I have an inkject printer and so I was curious how these water color markers would perform next to the printer ink. I had left the image to airdry for a few days after printing and I did not end up having any problems with the markers as long as I did not use any water.

Once the flower petal were completed, I added the centers with a brown glitter gel pen. I colored the lady with my Prismacolor colored pencils, doing the edgings on her skirt and jacket with a red glitter gel pen. I then returned the panel to the Silhouette to cut the square out and then adhered the panel to a pink glitter cardstock 5.5x5.5 inch matte which I in turn, glued to a cardbase.

The DT Special Deals also marks the start of a new challenge over at Scrappers Delights and this month the theme is tic-tac-toe. I opted to use the line with gems, flowers and twine. I completed the card by adding the gems and the twine as I already had a number of flowers.

Be sure to check out the Scrappers Delights challenge and we look forward to seeing you enter your projects there.

Leo

I have a second card to show you today. This is my project for the new release over at Scrappers Delights and I got to work with the Leo zodiac chibi from the VIP pack on the new release. You can see the whole bundle that comes with the VIP package on the Scrappers Delights new release page.

Once again I reverted to Silhouette Studio to design my card. I created a rectangle sized at 4x5.5 inches and filled the space with a polka dot digital paper. I used 4 elements from the VIP bundle to design my card - the Leo chibi, the Leo word, the date banner and the star outline frame. I positioned the elements on the card to my liking, added the typed Happy Birthday sentiment and printed the panel out onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper. I colored the chibi, the word and the stars in the banner with my Prismacolor colored pencils and I colored the star outline frame with a glitter gel pen.

Once I had completed the coloring, I returned the page to the Silhouette and cut the rectangle out. I then adhered the one layer panel to a cardbase.

Be sure to head over to the Scrappers Delights new release page to see the rest of the bundle. Don't forget to enter your project into the ongoing challenge.

Always Dance

This week seems to have flown by, but here I am with another inspiration project for the Colour Crazy challenge blog. The theme is always Anything Goes as long as you have handcoloring on your project. This fortnight our sponsor is Skeepski Designs and I have used the image called Perfect Pointe.

Penguin at Christmas

Yes, this is a Christmas card! And that is because the theme over at the new Cute 'N Crafty challenge is Christmas in July. Our sponsor is My Besties and I got to work with this cutie called Bestie Pengiun. The prize for the winner is 3 digis from the shop.

Magical

Where did June go? Here we are on July 1 and time for a new challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore. This month our sponsor is Polkadoodles and the winner will receive a voucher to the value of 3 digis. I got to work with this sweet image called Surprise Gifts.

Mousey Carollers

Here I am with a DT inspiration project for the Cute 'N Crafty Christmas challenge blog. The theme there is always Anything Goes Christmas and this month our sponsor is Hetty Clare Art Store and the prize is 2 digis. I got to work with Christmas Carolers.

Nadia

I am almost late to the party, but yet still in time. That is the Progressive Challenge over at Outlawz and this month the image is Nadia from MMedel Illustrations. What is interesting about Nadia, is that her eyes are blank on the lineart image and so you can complete them to your heart's desire.

Father's Day

So yesterday was Father's Day and last month I have made the moms in our small congregation a card for Mother's Day, so this time I did one for the Dads. Of course I had the perfect die set to make the cards with. Who needs an excuse anyway to play with the Spellbinders Truckin' through the Seasons die set.

A Stick Pin??

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the Outlawz Crash your Stash. The item you need to crash your stash for is a Stick Pin. Well I had to go beyond just crashing my stash, as I did not own any stick pins, so the next best course of action was to make one.

With Love

I am pleased to be back again with another project  for the Rabisco Challenge blog. The sponsor for this middle of the month is Star Stampz and I got to work with Be my Valentine.

Leaps ahead

Today is the day for the Special Deals over at Scrappers Delights. This is when you get the images that DT members have used at a reduced price and also is the start of the new Scrappers Delights Challenge. The theme is Father's Day or a card for a man. I have used one of the frogs from Froggy Bundle 1.

Dream

Time to another challenge to start at the World Wide Open Design Team challenge blog. Our resident sponsor is Julia Spiri and this time my DT project uses the greyscale image called Harmony.

Cancer Zodiac

Time for a new chibi release over at Scrappers Delights and as always, there is a VIP deal with the Zodiac sign. This time the sign is Cancer and the image is a mermaid with a treasure chest and some crabs.

The Melon

I am back again today with a new project to show you. This is my DT inspiration for the new Colour Crazy challenge. Our sponsor this fortnight is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and I got to work the the "You're one in a melon" digi set.

For Dad

It is Monday today and time for another challenge over at Cute N Crafty. This fortnight our sponsor is Polkadoodles and I got to work with this image called Relaxing Dave. The theme of the challenge is Father's Day or make a card for a man.

The dolls

The start of June means that we have new challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore and as always the theme is Anything Goes. Our sponsor this month is Vera Lane Studio and the prize is 2 digi sets. I was given the Matryoshkas digi set to work with and the idea for this card popped into my head immediately.

Great Friends

It is time for another challenge over at Cute N Crafty and this time the sponsor is Polkadoodles and I got to work with this cute image called Winston Bear Best Friends. The theme for this challenge is "Best Friends".

Decorations Up

My third and last project that I am showing your today is my DT inspiration for the Cute N Crafty Christmas Challenge blog. Today is the start of the next challenge and the sponsor is Polkadoodles. The theme is Anything Goes Christmas or Winter. I got to work with this sweet image called Winnie Angel - Decorations up.

Forever and always

Today I am here with three cards to show you. Seems like the 1st and the 15th of the month are multiple post days. This project is for the Rabisco Challenge blog and the sponsor for the middle of the month is MMedel Illustrations. I got to work with this cute image called Married Couple Kissing.

Eyes

This is my second project for today and my DT Inspiration for the Outlawz Crash your Stash challenge for May. The object of the challenge is for you to use an item on your project that you have in your stash and have not used for a long time and this month the item is Goolie Eyes. And here is my project! I have used a Dr Digi House of Stamps stamp called Valentine Derek (which also happens to be the image for this month's Outlawz Progressive Challenge). But Derek needed Googlie Eyes, in my opinion.

Little Pink Wagon

Today is the start of a new challenge over at the World Wide Open Design Team challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes as long as you are a member of a design team - any team, anywhere in the world. Julia Spiri is the resident sponsor of our challenges and her images are so sweet. I love working with any of them. Here is my card using Mollie!

Mother's Day

Today was Mother's Day in the US. Happy Mother's Day to all my blog friends who are mothers. I usually do something every year for the mothers in our small congregation and this year the Spellbinders May Small Die of the month kit was just the perfect starting point. These layered die cut flowers are beautiful.

Mom's Romeo

Today I have another card to show you. This one is my DT Specials choice over at Scrapper's Delights and I chose to work with the Romeo in the Romeo Juliet bundle since I thought he would work so well with the Mother's Day theme on the current challenge.

Prehistoric Cutie

It is Friday already and time for another challenge over at the Colour Crazy challenge.  The challenge is Anything Goes as long as you have some hand coloring on your project. This fortnight the sponsor is All Dressed Up. I got to work with this cute stamp called Dino.

With Love

Happy Monday crafty friends. Today marks the start of a new challenge over at the Cute N Crafty Challenge Blog. The sponsor for this challenge is Treasure Box Designs and the prize is 2 digis from the store. The DT got to work with this sweet image called Poppy Pals Emma.

The Twins

It is the first Friday of the month and time for the Chibi new release over at Scrappers Delights. As always, if you purchase the complete new release bundle you will receive the star sign chibi set with all the elements for free. This month the sign is Gemini and aren't these twins cute?

Treasure Box Designs

I don't think I have ever done three card posts in one day!! But it is the first of the month and I guess that is making it happen. This project is for the Cute 'N Crafty Christmas Challenge blog and our sponsor is Treasure Box Designs. The prize is 2 digis from the store and the theme is Anything Goes Christmas or Winter. I am working with one of the angels from the Trio Angels digi.

Road Trip

Today is a three card day and here I am back with a card for the Rabisco May Challenge. I usually participate in the mid-month DT line-up, but since I had recently won this Dr Digi stamp, the sponsor for May is Dr Digi Stamps and I was wanting to play here, I created the card for the first of the month lineup. The stamp is called Summer Holiday.

Birthday Greetings

It is May already and here I am with a new project for the Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog. Our sponsor this month is A Day for Daisies, the theme is as always Anything Goes and the prize is a $8 gift certificate to the A Day for Daisies store. I am using the image called Happy Birdie Orange.

Teddy Ballerina

Happy Monday to all my blog friends. I hope you all have a very good week. Today is the start of a new challenge over at Cute N Crafty Challenges and this fortnight the sponsor is Hetty Clare Art Store and the prize for the winner is 3 digis from her store. I got to work with Teddy Ballerina - isn't she cute??

Outlawz Progressive Challenge

I am back today with a second card. I have participated in the Progressive Challenge over at Outlawz every month since I discovered it. It has been a lot of fun. This month the sponsor is Oddball Art Stamps and Sorry Sally is the image. She arrived in my email inbox on April 1 and I thought she would make a perfect Miss You card.

Pink bike

The neverending watercolor panels! Yes here I am with another card that I made with die cuts from those panels. I am amazed how many different cuts one can get from a 9 x 12 sheet of paper.

Pretty in Pink

Time for another new challenge over at the Cute 'N Crafty Christmas Challenge blog. This is the place to share your Christmas/Winter themed creations. This fortnight our sponsor is Skeepski Designs and I am working with the image called Huddle.

The Extraordinary

I recently was able to choose some images from The Paper Shelter following a challenge win and this image just popped off the screen at me and I immediately had a card in mind.

Glitter everywhere!

Glitter! Does that evoke an emotion in you when you hear that word? Well emotions aside, it does make projects beautiful. And this month that is the item from your stash that you need to use in the Outlawz Crash your Stash challenge. The purpose of the challenge is to prompt you to use that long forgotten item in your stash that is just sitting there.

Spring Greetings

I am full of firsts this month! I was asked a while back to join the Rabisco Challenge blog as a DT member for the middle of the month posts. I agreed and so here is my first project.

The sponsor this month is Some Odd Girl and I chose to work with this cute hedgey and his flower.

Let's go to Paris

Have you been to Paris? I have and I loved the time I spent there. So today I am awakening a little Frenchness - is that even a word?

Time for a new challenge over at the World Wide Open Design Team Challenge blog. All the challenges there are sponsored by Julia Spiri and I love working with her images. For this month I chose to work with The Paris Collection. It is a lovely digi with a number of elements that you can use to create a scene.

Easter blessings

Today I have a special project to share with you. It is time for the DT Special over at Scrappers Delights. I get to choose an image to work with and you get to save, because that image is on sale for the month. The DT special theme for this month is Easter and so I chose this elegant lady and colored her outfit in rich burgundy and green. She is from the Victoria Lady Bundle and she comes in 3 different poses.
