The night before Christmas

Here I am again with another post for the middle of the month sponsor at Rabisco Challenge blog. Our sponsor is All Dressed Up Stamps and I got to work with the image called The Night Before Christmas.

I printed the image out onto Canson C' a Grain Drawing paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils, adding a bit of silver gel pen to the stars on the comforter. Once colored, I cut the image out with a lacey oval die from my stash. I also cut three snowflakes from teal and pink cardstock.

Using Scor-Tape, I adhered a piece of gold ribbon to the top and the bottom of my cardbase. I then glued the focal image to the card and added the computer generated sentiment. I completed the card by adding the three snowflakes into the top right-hand corner and added a pink gem into the center of each teal one.

The challenges at the Rabisco Challenge blog go for a month and each month we have two sponsors. Be sure to head over and check us out.

Family of Birds

Today I have a Christmas card to show you as my DT inspiration for this month's challenge at the World Wide Open Design Team Challenge blog. The theme is always Anything Goes as long as you are a member of any design team in the world. This time I got to work with this cool image called Family of Birds done by our resident sponsor, Julia Spiri. Julia now also has a Patreon page if you are interested in checking it and the perks of membership out.

The little red wagon

I cannot believe it is November already and here I am with another project to show you today. It is time for another Progressive Challenge at Outlawz and this month our sponsor is Hetty Clare Art and the image is called Moving House. I was asked to join the Progressive Challenge Design Team and since I play along every month anyway, I agreed (although I am reducing my design team obligations for the new year - more on that later).

On the road

Note: The Crafts Galore Encore Challenge blog has a current DT Call. Please head here for more information. This is a great team to be on. If you are looking for another DT position, do apply.

This is my DT inspiration for the November Crafts Galore Encore challenge. Our sponsor this month is Beccy's Place and I got to work with this image from the Road Trip digital stamp set. Since we are now RV'ing, this image spoke to me.

I sized the image for a landscape card in Silhouette Studio and then printed it out onto Canson C' a Grain Drawing paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I once again took inspiration from a color combo in my new book called Practical Color Combinations. When I had completed the image, I returned the page to the Silhouette to cut it out and also create a shadow for it, which I cut out of brown cardstock.

I had the perfect paper in my stash - a piece of paper with a map on it. The paper pack also had a page with words on it, from which I cut my sentiment. I ran a black marker along the end of the cutout digi and then adhered it to the shadow piece. I added it to the patterned paper panel with foam tape and then added the cardpanel to a cardbase.

I completed the card by adding the strip that I can cut from the paper to make the sentiment.

The Crafts Galore Encore Challenge is a monthly challenge and the theme is always Anything Goes. We look forward to seeing your projects there.

One fine day...

My new crafty space

Today is a post with a difference. I am not showing what I have made, but rather where I make. A few months ago, hubby and I decided to take the plunge, sell our house and go full-time RV'ing. We found a fifth wheel that worked really well for us. It is a Teton Freedom Experience and is definitely designed for full-time living. We have plenty of space inside and plenty of cabinets for all our personal items and my also my crafting supplies. It is insulated enough to keep us cool, even in the Florida summer, and warm in the winter - though it is not likely that we will venture into colder climes during the colder time of the year.

Currently we are still in Florida and here you can see our rig being set up on our spot.

The Autumn Fairy

Time for another challenge at Crafts Galore Encore since it is the first of the new month. This month our sponsor is Fabrika Fantasy and I got to work with this lovely lady called Autumn Fairy. I had never worked with any of Fabrika Fantasy's stamps before, so this was a first for me.
