A little time

Hubby and I had taken a little time off between Christmas and New Year and so of course my pencils went with. Our visit to southern Arizona proved to be a chilly escapade, so we stayed indoors quite a bit – me coloring and him reading. It was wonderful. This card is the last one I made on my return with the images I had colored while away.
This is also a Conie Fong image. I decided to go rather pastel on it, thus the light colors on her dress, the white bear and her light colored wings.

I colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I completed the card by cutting an oval out of a piece of patterned paper and gluing the focal image behind the paper. I then adhered the panel onto a 5.5×5.5 inch cardbase.

I completed the card by cutting the word Birthday out 3 times, twice out of regular white cardstock and once out of white glitter cardstock and stacking them on top of each other with the glitter cardstock on top. I stamped the word WISHES on a piece of white cardstock and trimmed close to the word. I glued both the die cut and the stamped sentiment onto the card.

I completed the card by adding 3 flatback pearls to it.

  1. Hello Monica welcome to my challenge. I do admire anyone who uses colouring pencils as their chosen medium. I just cannot get on with them myself. I'm ok with watercolour pencils as I can use a brush to blend. Your colouring is ace I love the teddy bear and the shading on her dress. Thankyou for coming and spinning the butterfly wheel with me this week. Hugs Mrs A.

  2. Ook deze is weer een mooie kaart. Schattige digi ook en weer prachtig ingekleurd. Gezellig dat je met een tweede kaart meedoet met de Challenge van Kleuren met potloden.

    Groetjes, Astrid.
