Buttons and bows

Here I am back with another House Mouse project. The current challenge over at the House Mouse Monday Challenge blog is Buttons and/or Bows. I had the perfect stamp for that and I am nearly late!

I stamped the Teddy Mouse Mend image onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored the tailors with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I completed the background with soft pastels and fixed it with Krylon Workable fixative.

I then colored the needle with my silver gel pen and cut a slit on each side of Monica Mouse’s hand so that she could hold the ribbon while Amanda Mouse completed the mending.

I then matted the image panel onto a panel of gold cardstock that I had run through a Darice Buttons embossing folder. This I in turn adhered to a dark teal card base.

Finally I glued down the ribbon so that it did not get lost and also white heat embossed a sentiment onto black cardstock. The sentiment is popped up with foam tape.

Stampendous Teddy Mouse Mend cling stamp
Prismacolor pencils
Soft pastels
Silver gel pen
