Bright flowers

Happy Saturday to all my blog friends. Today I am back with another two cards made out of pieces of my watercolor panels. Those two panels really were so much fun to use for various projects.
Here is the first one. I cut the flower and the sentiment from the pink panel and the leaves from the green/yellow panel. I ran the front of the card base through my Texture Boutique with an embossing folder.

I cut the flower center from a darker cardstock and then assembled the parts in the bottom left hand corner of the card. The card was completed with three dark green pearl “flower centers” dotted on the embossed background.

My second card is similar. I used the same Darice embossing folder to add interest to the front of the card. I cut the sentiment out of the green/yellow panel and the flowers in the same combo as before.

This card has a double flower cluster added to the bottom right hand corner of the card and three light green pearls were added to flower centers on the embossed background.
I love how some splashing paint on a panel and then doing some die cutting allows one to create a number of projects.
General supplies:

  1. Both of these cards are gorgeous, Monica. The colors are so vivid and beautiful. I just discovered some water color scraps I had forgotten about and now I know what to do with them. I love the texture your papers add to your leaves. xo Nancy

  2. Pretty! Love the embossing. Isn't it great once in a while to create a card that doesn't require coloring. I have a couple folders on Pinterest of inspiration cards that don't require coloring. I should try some.

  3. Oh Monica! This card is so wonderful! I love beautiful backgrounds, these flowers are beautiful. Perfect for emphasizing the cut flower and sentiment.
Thank you for the words of encouragement, I'm slowly depressed because of this renovation: – ((
