New release for Scrapper’s Delights

It is new release day at Scrapper’s Delights and today the release are three new Anime images and if you buy the bundle you will receive a free Anime star sign bundle. I am using the image called Let’s Dance for my project today.

I designed the layout of my card in Silhouette Studio as I wanted to create the illusion of looking into the dance studio window. I printed the image onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper and cut the window and frame from grey and brown cardstock respectively on the Silhouette. I added the “bricks” onto the grey panel with a brick stencil and Vintage Photo Distress oxide ink and set it aside to dry.

I colored the image with my Prismacolor colored pencils and added the subtle color to the background with soft pastels. Once completed, I sprayed the image with Krylon Workable Fixative so that the pastel does not move.

I put the card together by positioning the image behind the open space in the “wall” and adhering it to a cardbase. I added the window frame cardstock piece and stamped the word sentiment in the bottom right hand corner with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Remember to pop over to the Scrappers Delights inspiration blog to see the DT’s creations with the new release and find the image on the new release page.

  1. Monica, you mentioned you use your cameo for the fussy cutting, I have the 'special' mat but it never works out, it doesn't pick things up unless I put it into my cameo as a 'new' page, print it up then cut it out…takes too long and my scan and cut doesn't pick a lot of things up. Hence why I fussy cut ALL of my flowers on my last project, they were big so was ok…took hours though…xx
