Easter blessings

Today I have a special project to share with you. It is time for the DT Special over at Scrappers Delights. I get to choose an image to work with and you get to save, because that image is on sale for the month. The DT special theme for this month is Easter and so I chose this elegant lady and colored her outfit in rich burgundy and green. She is from the Victoria Lady Bundle and she comes in 3 different poses.

I printed her out through my Silhouette Studio software onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper so that I could create a cut line around her using the software’s trace and cut feature. I colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils and then cut her out on my Silhouette. I ran a black marker around the edge to color the white edge of the cut paper.

I completed the card by adding a piece of vintage looking patterned paper from my stash to a green cardbase. I embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder onto a piece of burgundy cardstock that I trimmed down and rounded the corners. I adhered the sentiment and the lady directly onto my card.
Remember you can also enter your projects over at the Scrappers Delights challenge blog for a chance to win some digis from the shop. Also check out the Progressive Challenge in the Scrappers Delights Facebook Group.
