Great Friends

It is time for another challenge over at Cute N Crafty and this time the sponsor is Polkadoodles and I got to work with this cute image called Winston Bear Best Friends. The theme for this challenge is “Best Friends”.

I printed the image out onto Strathmore Toned Tan paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Once completed, I cut it out with one of the circle dies from the Hero Arts Infinity Circle die set. I used the die one size bigger to cut a circle out of white cardstock.

I cut two 5.5 inch circles out of heavyweight white cardstock with my Silhouette machine and glued them together after scoring one at 1/4 inch from the top to make a hinge. I then cut one 5 inch circle out of gold metallic cardstock from The Metallic Stack from DCWV. I then adhered all the circles together to create my gold and white round card.

To complete the card, I added a sentiment cut with the words from a previous Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit out of black cardstock and glued it to the bottom side of the card.
We look forward to see your “Best Friends” makes over at Cute N Crafty Challenge blog. You have two weeks to enter.

  1. How sweet…love this. Beautiful coloring, as usual! I just started Kit & Closder's class for this month. It is the first pencil class I'm taking. Definitely not easy for me. I'm working on it. It's so detailed it'll probably take me at least a week!

  2. These bears are so adorable, Monica, and once again, colored to perfection with your pencils. Your round shaped card fits perfectly with this image. I forget to make shaped cards…I need to rethink that. Hope you have a delightful Memorial Day. xo Nancy

  3. Hi, Monica! Are you enjoying this heat wave? At least the humidity is lower, making the temperatures much more tolerable! And the breeze has been great in our area. Your little Mr. and Mrs Bear are so darling in the pink and blue colors, and precious shading! Darling round card, and so beautifully layered! Have a great week-end! hugs, de
