Angel Topper

Today I am back again with a new DT project for the challenge over at Cute ‘N Crafty Christmas. The challenge is Anything Goes with a Christmas/Winter theme. Our sponsor this month is Treasure Box Designs and the prize is 2 digis from the shop. I got to work with one of the Christmas Angels.

I designed my card in Silhouette Studio, sizing the digi to that she sat on top of the tree as a topper. I then printed the angel out on Daler-Rowney Drawing paper. I colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils and glitter gel pens before returning the page to the Silhouette to cut her out. I cut her out and cut another of her shapes out of black cardstock. I ran a black marker along the edge of the angel’s cutout. I cut the tree out of dark green cardstock.

I assembled the card by cutting a piece of patterned paper from my stash to 4×5.5 inches and adhered that to a reddish cardbase. I glued the tree to the cardpanel and after gluing the colored angel to the black cardstock shape, I glued her to the top of the tree. Using some gold glitter cardstock from my stash, I cut the words Merry Christmas using dies from a previous Spellbinders Small Die of the Month kit and glued the sentiment over the tree.
We look forward to seeing your Christmas themed projects over at the Cute ‘N Crafty Christmas challenge. You have a month to enter your projects there.

  1. Monica, This is so adorable! I love the plaid background. Sorry to have been "missing" for so long but my shoulder has kept me from the keyboard. It's healing slowly and now I have as many good days as bad, which is a great improvement over all bad days. 😀
