Warm Wishes

Today I am sharing a project made with a digi by a new-to-me artist – Lia Stampz. I got to work with this digi called Cozy Christmas for my DT project at the middle of the month sponsor at the Rabisco Challenge.

I opened the digi in my Silhouette Studio and created a cutline around her. I then sized her on a 4×5.25 rectangle in the position I wanted her to be. I printed her out onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper and colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Once she was colored, I returned her to the Silhouette and cut her out. I cut an additional blank shape out of white cardstock and glued the colored image onto the cardstock for stability.

I cut a piece of white cardstock at 4×5.25 inches and embossed it with a Darice Snowflake embossing folder. I wrapped some 1/8 inch ribbon around the embossed panel before adhering the panel to a dark blue cardbase. I then popped the image up on foam tape and added her to the card over the ribbon. I completed the card by stamping the sentiment from my stash in Versafine Onyx Black ink and cutting it out with an oval die. I ran a blue crayola marker around the edge of the sentiment cutout and glued it to the card.

I invite you to play along with us at Rabisco. The theme is Anything Goes as long as your project has a piece of haberdashery on it.

  1. Lovely winter card Monica. Love the CAS style with the little girl, all snuggly in her winter clothes, and the pretty snowflake embossed background. x

  2. A real weather kaleidoscope on your blog. This time winter in fullness. Great winter card, beautiful colors of the card, and the embossed background looks great.
