Cuppa Mouse

It is the first of the month already and so time for a new challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore. Our theme is always Anything Goes and this month our sponsor is Limited Runs Digital Stamps. I got to work with this sweet digi called Cuppa Mouse.

I designed the card in Silhouette Studio. I created a rectangle sized at 4.25×5.5 inches and then created an internal offset at 1/8 inch. I filled the inner rectangle with a paper from the Coffee Digital Papers collection by AMB Illustrations. Picking a color from one of the beans with the eyedropper tool, I then colored the outer rectangle to create the frame. I added the digi so that I could size it appropriately and also added the sentiment in Silhouette Studio. I removed the digi again, putting it onto another page so that I could cut it out separately from the background. I removed the cutlines from the inner rectangle on the background and the text, then printed it out onto white cardstock and cut it.

I printed the digi out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper and colored it with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I recently joined Chemo-Angels as a Card Angel and so this card had my buddy in mind – thus the pink cup.

Once colored, I returned the digi to the Silhouette and cut it out. I ran a black marker along the cut edge to tidy it up. I cut the same shape again out of black cardstock and glued the two together before adhering it to the cardpanel. I completed the project by gluing the cardpanel to a white cardbase.
I hope you share your projects with us at Crafts Galore Encore this month. We look forward to seeing your makes.

  1. Such a very cute card, but I don't know that I would cope very well with a mouse in my cup! So glad you shared with us at 2 Crafty Critter Crazies, come again soon, CarolG

  2. :-)) Great color selection. Cool background, coffee beans perfectly match this cup. And the pink color of the cup works great with the color of the coffee.
    xoxo
