Outlawz Progressive Challenge

Happy New Year to all my dear blog friends and those that are just  stopping by for the first time. May 2020 be a good year of creativity and inspiration!

I am starting out this year with a project for the Outlawz Progressive Challenge and this month our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps and the image is Chibi Flowerpot Peeker. Isn’t she too cute?

I created my one layer card in Silhouette Studio and printed it out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper. I filled the 4×5.25 inch rectangle with a digital paper from the Flower Power Pack by Gecko Galz, added the .png digi to the cardfront and then added an oval just behind the digi with a low opacity so that it would help the digi stand out against the flowery background.

I colored the image with my Prismacolor colored pencils. Once she was done, I returned the page to the Silhouette to cut it out. I adhered the panel to a colored cardbase.

I completed my card with a sentiment die cut out of black cardstock. I cut two of them out and stuck them together for a little bit of dimension. Once the sentiment was on my card, I added some Wink of Stella to add a little bit of sparkle to it.
Please head over to the Outlawz Progressive Challenge to learn how you can jump in and join the fun.

  1. Nobody does it like Jodie at Bugaboo — unless it is Monica using one of the images Jodie drew! LOL Your little pot dweller is DARLING and the coloring in the tulips is gorgeous! What I am most surprised about is that fabulous background paper so full of life and activity to go with the life happening in the flower pot! Fabulous card, Monica! Happy New Year! hugs, de

  2. I love how you added a patterned background for your card. It complements the card so beautifully. As always, your coloring is amazing. The flowers and the girl's face look stunning, Monica.
