Stencils

Time for a new Crash your Stash challenge over at the Outlawz and this month the cue is stencils. I am sure you have at least one stencil in your stash! Our sponsor is Babycakes Digis and Designs and I got to work with this cute fox.

I used a 6×6 stencil on white cardstock and applied Distress Oxide ink through the stencil with a mini ink blending tool. I start at the bottom with Vintage Photo and then proceeded to Twisted Citron, to Peacock Feathers and then finally onto Seedless Preserves. I then set the inking aside and colored the little fox, which I had printed out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper, with my Prismacolor colored pencils.

Once I had him colored, I fussy cut him out and ran a black marker along the freshly cut edge. I cut the stencil panel down with a stitched rectangle die and applied it to the casebase. I then glued the fox into the right hand corner.

I completed the card by die cutting the sentiment twice out of black cardstock, gluing them together and then adhering them to my card in the top left hand corner. I added a generous layer of Wink of Stella to the sentiment.
We would love to see your projects using stencils, so please join us this month at the Crash you Stash challenge. You have a month to enter your project.
