Wear your crown

Time for the second sponsor projects for January over at the Rabisco Challenge blog. Our sponsor is Sherri Baldy ~ My Besties and I am working with Digi Stamp IMG 874.

I again designed this project in Silhouette Studio. I opted to go for a square card this time and my go-to square card size is 5.5×5.5 inches. So I created a 5×5 inch square on my work space and filled it with a paper from the Dirty Pink & Rose Gold Glitter Patterns paper pack by Pe De Designs. I sized the digi onto my card, then removed her to a separate page. I added a free hand cutline around her and then using that cutline, I created an offset to give her a matte. I filled this offset with an ombre glitter digital paper from the same paper pack. I added the sentiment to the top of the background and then printed my pages out, the panel and matte onto white cardstock and the digi onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper. I colored the image with my Prismacolor colored pencils, using pink and silver gel pens for her crown and the flowers on her skirt, however.

Once she was colored, I returned the pages to the Silhouette to cut all the elements out. I then glued the parts together and adhered the panel to a white cardbase. I completed the card with a small, handmade pink bow.
We would love to see your projects over at our challenge. Please visit the Rabisco Challenge blog for more details.
