Birthday Oops

Today I am here to show you a House Mouse card that I made. I have not done a make with the mousey friends for ages and so decided it was definitely time. This time I made a belated birthday card for those “oops” moments that seem to happen more often with the increase in a certain number that my ID declares me to have.

The mousey image is from the Very Mice Coloring book. I printed him out onto Strathmore Paint Pad paper and colored him with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I then cut him out with a Hero Arts oval die and then cut another oval with the die one size bigger out of black cardstock and matted the image onto the black cardstock.

I created a 5.5×5.5 inch cardbase and added a black panel onto the front. I then made a 5×5 inch panel out of the yellow gingham patterned paper. My bloggy friend, Bunny, always inspires me with her use of gingham and plaid papers.

I stamped the sentiment from a Power Poppy stampset onto the bottom right hand corner of the gingham with Versafine Onyx Black ink and set it with clear embossing powder. I added the sparkly silver washi tape to the left side of the panel and then adhered it to the cardbase.

I added the matted mouse image and then added the letters that I had cut from black cardstock with some alphabet dies from my stash. I completed the card by adding a little more sparkle to the letters with my Wink of Stella pen.

Your card is so funny, especially sentiment … 🙂 It all explains why the card is late 🙂 No, it's a joke, your ID card lies and has nothing to do with reality. Be healthy and safe, my dear Monica
