Pink Lilies

Happy Tuesday! Today I am here to show you a card with a bit of a difference. I recently picked up the new Craft a Flower Lily Die from Altenew and I had a play with it. I created a card with three lilies in pink.

I cut the layers of the dies in different shades of pink cardstock, using pink glitter cardstock for the center one. Even the leaves are layers and give a great dimensional look. I cut them out of two shades of green. I created a top-folding note card out of heavy-weight cardstock. Using a  piece of Post-it tape to protect the back of my card, I added some Memento Tuxedo Black ink to an acrylic block, misted it with water and then flicked it off the block onto the front of my card to make a fine splatter effect for the background. I then arranged my lilies, popping the left one and the bottom one up with foam tape.

I added a sentiment by using my recently rediscovered rub-ons from my stash to a piece of black cardstock and cutting it out with a Hero Arts Oval die. I added the oval to the bottom left hand corner of the card.

I completed the card by adding three pink flatback pearls from my stash. I absolutely love this die and if you watch this space, you will see some more cards coming up using these amazing dies.
