Washi Crash

And here I am with my second card for today. This time a DT card for the Outlawz Crash your Stash challenge and our cue this month is Washi Tape. Our sponsor is Lee Holland Art and I got to work with this cute digi called Dragon with Flowers.

I printed the digi out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper and colored the dragon and the bee with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I colored the flowers with my gel pens and then cut the image out in a square. I decided what better washi to use for this sweet image than glitter washi. So I lined two sides of the square with it, a little wider at the bottom. I then used the third shade of the sparkly purple washi to cover some white cardstock and then cut the ribbon for the flower bunch out.
I recently got to sorting some more of my crafting stuff and bring it into the RV from the storage unit and amongst those treasures was a pack of rub on sentiments. I used them to create the sentiment onto black cardstock and cut it out with a label die.

I ran a 4×5.25 cardpanel through a Darice embossing folder called Flower Frenzy and added it to a purple notecard. I then added the dragon to the bottom left-hand corner and added the sentiment label, popped up on craft foam, to the top corner of the square. I completed the card by added a ribbon bow to the label and some gems to the centers of some of the flowers on the embossed panel.

Do you have washi tape in your stash? We would love to see you in our Crash you Stash challenge over at the Outlawz.

  9. Oh, he's precious, Monica! Love his scales and the embossed background is just perfect. Sorry to have been MIA for so long but I seem to be overwhelmed with drafting obligations in addition to all the home schooling for my grandson. I'm playing catch up today. 😀
