Sending prayers

Happy Monday and I hope your new week will be a good one. Today I am back with another card. This is the first time I have used an image by Sherry West Art and this one is called Poppi Pokkadot.

I sized her in Silhouette Studio and added a cutline so that I could cut her out when she was colored. I printed her out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper and colored her with my Prismacolor colored pencils. I added a bit of white Milky Pop pen to the white dots on her dress. Once she was colored, I returned her to the Silhouette to cut her out and then ran a black marker along the cut edge. I cut her shape out a second time out of black cardstock and then glued the two parts together.
I cut a white cardpanel sized at 4×5.25 inches and dry embossed it with a Darice embossing folder. I adhered the panel to a side-folding notecard and glued Poppi to the card so that she was standing on the bottom edge of the embossed panel.
I completed my card with a sentiment from the Hero Arts Prayers Stamp & Cut set. I stamped the “sending hugs and” part with Versafine Onyx black ink on white cardstock and cut the “prayers” die cut out of black cardstock. I popped the banner up on foam tape and added the die cut to the card.
