A fun fold card

Hello, I am back today with a new card. I have had some interesting happenings since my last post. We have moved again, this time with a bit more permanency. We have purchased a RV lot in Benson, AZ. So while we still live on wheels, this gives us a little space to be able to make personal. Our backyard view is incredible, I will post a pic below. Now back to my card.
This image is the February Imagine That Digistamps Progressive Challenge image and is called “Birthday Bunny”. I created the card as per the February Crafty Chefs card recipe. The group has a “Master Chef” that provides a recipe of must have and can have elements. There is no pressure and one does not even have to use the recipe in the month it was issued in. The February recipe is Must Do: Fun fold, image (rubber or digi), Pink & purple combo, Pattern paper and Can do: Embossing folder, Doily, Flowers. I have all 7 elements.
I printed the digi out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper and colored everything except the balloon and the strawberries with my Prismacolor colored pencils. The balloon and strawberries are done with a red glitter gel pen. I used some white gel pen on the bunny’s eyes and the highlight on the balloon. Once colored, I cut it out with an oval die.

I created the step card from a purple cardbase and added the pink patterned paper. I cut two small squares of pink cardstock for the two side fronts and ran them through a flower embossing folder. I placed a doily behind the focal image before adhering it to the front of the center step.

I completed the card with a sentiment die cutout done from purple cardstock. If you would like a little inspiration without the stress of a challenge, join us at Crafty Chefs.
Here my backyard view as promised:

  1. Wow, great job incorporating all 7 challenges into one card!! And I have to say, I like the Pink and Purple animals on this one 🙂 Cute card fold too! Thanks again for playing in my DOTM challenge at Imagine That Digistamp!

  2. Well aren't you the clever one, Miss Monica? so many DAH-LING elements in a single creation! This spring time birthday card is beyond beautiful. LOVING the pink and purple critters, and the feeling that happiness is a unicorn colored life. SO SO SO CUTE! There is something about the great expanse of the desert that calls my soul. It's certainly different than the lushness of Florida, which whence you came – LOL – but I do love the vast openness. It makes me feel one with Eternity. I especially love the seasonal colors of the desert, and the sunrises and sunsets. As a child, I arose early enough to watch the sun rise – it is LIMITLESS AND VAST. So happy for you and your new permanent place! hugs, de

  3. This is so beautiful, Monica! I can't imagine getting that many elements put into a card. Great designing. Love the scene outside your home. We used to have a great view of the mountains until the neighbor behind us built a huge RV garage behind our back fence. It completely cut out our view of the mountains.

  4. Monica, the mountains and landscape around your new home look a lot like mine. It's 70+ degrees here today and we had a beautiful walk in the fresh air this afternoon. So different from both our coastal landscapes but peaceful and gorgeous, just the same! Your card is absolutely adorable. I love the center step fold and your lacey die cut looks so pretty framing your beautifully colored bunny image. So many fun details. xo

  5. Beautiful card and excellent craftsmanship, Monica! Sorry so late, getting caught up slowly and don't wanna miss anything. Love your view! Glad y'all are happy! Thanks for the FB group link, I went and asked to join. XOX

  6. This card is amazing, it's hard for me to imagine making a card that will combine the requirements of as many as 7 challenges. You're great!!
You have an amazing view from the backyard. I will not be jealous, I will enjoy your happiness 🙂
    xx
