Sharing is Caring

Tonight I am popping in with my project for the Outlawz Progressive Challenge for June and June is nearly over! The sponsor is The Paper Shelter and the image is this cutie called Sharing is Caring. The image package comes with this lovely digital background.

Since I am home again and have access to my whole crafty stash, I used Silhouette Studio to design my card. I created a 5×5 inch square and filled it with the background. I added the digi over it and then printed it out onto Canson C’ a Grain Drawing paper. I was impressed with my new printer and how it coped with the colored background. I colored the image with my Prismacolor colored pencils.

Once completed, I cut the square out. I cut a matte of black cardstock at 5.25×5.25 square and matted my image with it. I added it to a 5.5×5.5 cardbase. I completed the card with a word die and its shadow from my new die set. I am enjoying dies with shadows. The shadows make a big difference to visibility on a busy background.

There is not much time left this month, but Outlawz has a new Progressive Challenge every month and the new digi shows up in your inbox on the first of every month if you took part the month before.

  1. Monica, as always, your coloring is top notch. I love the soft color transitions that create a great picture. You've arranged the background beautifully and the sentiment is perfect.
