More Stitching

Happy Friday, it is almost weekend again. Here I am with another stitching project, but this time a background die that I have used as the focal point.

The stitching die is from the new Spellbinders Stitchmas Christmas collection. It has the stitching die and a separate outline die. I cut the stitching die out of a piece of heavyweight white cardstock and then cut it down with my paper trimmer. I did not want it to cover the whole front of my card, but rather be the focal point. I stitched it with DMC Light Effects thread which has a beautiful shimmer to it. While it looks great, it is not the easiest thread to work with and takes a bit of patience.

I created a card panel with a Christmas embossing folder on green cardstock and then added that to a top folding cardbase. I added the stitched piece to the card with foam tape and then added three ornaments from the Holiday Decorations set. I completed my card with a small sentiment cut once from red foil cardstock and once from gold foil cardstock offset and a few clear gems on the stitched panel.
