Leo

I have a second card to show you today. This is my project for the new release over at Scrappers Delights and I got to work with the Leo zodiac chibi from the VIP pack on the new release. You can see the whole bundle that comes with the VIP package on the Scrappers Delights new release page.

Once again I reverted to Silhouette Studio to design my card. I created a rectangle sized at 4×5.5 inches and filled the space with a polka dot digital paper. I used 4 elements from the VIP bundle to design my card – the Leo chibi, the Leo word, the date banner and the star outline frame. I positioned the elements on the card to my liking, added the typed Happy Birthday sentiment and printed the panel out onto Daler-Rowney Drawing paper. I colored the chibi, the word and the stars in the banner with my Prismacolor colored pencils and I colored the star outline frame with a glitter gel pen.

Once I had completed the coloring, I returned the page to the Silhouette and cut the rectangle out. I then adhered the one layer panel to a cardbase.
Be sure to head over to the Scrappers Delights new release page to see the rest of the bundle. Don’t forget to enter your project into the ongoing challenge.

  1. Hi, Monica! Your Leo card is darling! I've never seen such an unusual take on the astrological chart before, and it is PURE MAGIC! Wonderful in every way! hugs, de

  2. You colored this image so adorably. I love it. On my rose card I fussy cut it. I have not attempted to do it with my Silhouette yet. I'm taking a leave from all my design teams right now. I may still make a card here and there, though. I have to have a knee replacement soon. On top of that I found out my breast cancer may have returned. I am also facing a bout of sciatica. Boy, when it rains it pours. I am just taking it one day at a time. I will still visit from time to time. I love seeing your work. You are such an inspiration!
