Magnolia background

It is Hump Day and I want to show you my second card using Spellbinders products as they celebrate their 20th birthday. I made this card for a friend who is going through a rough time.
I used the Magnolia Blooms die and cut two of the bases out of white cardstock and two of the outlines out of gold foil cardstock. Using Distress Oxide ink and a small blender brush, I added a bit of ink to the base of each flower. Once the ink was dry, I glued the gold outline layer on top.
I then arranged the two sprays on a cardbase to create a background. I filled in the open spaces with the bits that I had cut off of the edges and so used up everything.

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set that contains the die and the stamp for the sentiment strip. I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I had created a shadow for this die using my Silhouette Cameo and the PicScan mat and so I cut one out of vellum to add to this card.
I love this die, it is so pretty. I will be back with another card I made using this gorgeous magnolia die.
