Congregation Easter Cards

It is time for my mid-term project for Jan’s Digital Stamp Shop Challenge Blog. Our challenge is Anything Goes and runs for a month.

I like to make Christmas and Easter cards for our small congregation and this is an example of one kind that I have made. I used two of Jan’s digi stamp sets to make the card which I will link for you at the end of this post. I designed the card in Silhouette Studio so that I was able to size everything correctly. The wreath of dogwood flowers is one of her pre-colored images that I placed on the card panel together with a sentiment from an older Easter stamp set. I sized the cross to fit in the wreath and then copied it to a seperate page so that I could cut it out as I wanted to pop it up.
After printing the crosses and cutting them out with my Silhouette Cameo, I added gold foil to the crosses, which gave them that beautiful shiny edge. Since I have a laser printer, I could apply toner foil with my laminator to the printed digis. I then colored them with Copic markers.

I cut the cardpanels with a stitched rectangle die from my stash and adhered them to a white cardbase. I then added the crosses to the cards, popped up with foam tape.
