Stylish Ovals

I am here today with a very picture heavy post. Spellbinders sent me some goodies to create with, however just after they arrived I was not at home very much. So my projects are rather late in the release. But it is a gorgeous release, one die set more versatile than the other.

My first project is using the Essential Stylish Ovals die set as well as the gorgeous embossing folder from this release. I wanted to show off the embossing folder on this card and so let it shine on center stage. I used the largest oval in the set to create my cardbase with, used a smaller one to cut the panel that I then embossed and finally used the smaller one and one size bigger to cut a frame from holographic cardstock. The sentiment is from another set in this release called Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies set.

For my second card, I used the flowers from the Stylish Oval Hello You Floral dies set and cut the stem base from holographic cardstock. I cut the leaves and the flower centers from gold foil cardstock and the flowers themselves from teal cardstock. This really is a pretty floral element. I used two the Essential Stylish Oval dies to create a frame out of black cardstock. I cut it twice and glued the two together for some additional dimension. The sentiment is from a Spellbinders die set that I have in my stash.

My third card again uses the Beautiful Butterflies 3D embossing folder on the card front. I cut two leaf bases from green cardstock using the Stitched Floral Flip Frame die set. I cut each flower out twice so that they would pop up higher than the leaves. I opted not to stitch them and used a black Glaze pen to fill in the centers and give some shiny dimension. I placed the floral frames on the card so that the big butterfly from the embossing folder was in the center of the card. I completed the card with a sentiment from another Spellbinders die set.

My final project is a set of 4 cards using the Infinity Punch & Pierce Plate. I cut the plate out of various colors of cardstock and then pieced them together in a random color palette. This die is brilliant, I had used it previously on my Christmas BINGO project where I created a monochrome background with it. With one pass through the die cut machine, one has three elements that can be used together or separately.

I would encourage you to take a look at the Spellbinders Stylish Ovals release (affiliate link used). While Spellbinders provided me with the dies and embossing folder that I have used here in this release, I have really enjoyed working with them and will be using them more and more.

  1. Monica, your designs are pretty perfect, each one is so beautiful, you will be making a lot of people happy when they receive one of your cards, hugs, Lori m

  2. You are brilliant with this technique. Procreation in Polish means reproduction, so I'm a bit perplexed as to what this word means in English, hahaha?
